Government Funding Extended!

Thomson Bridge announces government funded Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training places in New South Wales

Thomson Bridge is proud to announce that the GWO Basic Safety Training skillset for workers within the wind generation sector will be delivered under subsidised arrangements by the NSW Skilling for Recovery program, for a limited time only. 

Through this initiative the cost of the National Units of Competency are fully funded for NSW residents, with the only out of pocket expenses being for certification with GWO. 

This program encompasses the following nationally recognised units of competency: 

  • CPPFES2005 - Demonstrate first attack fire-fighting equipment
  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
  • TLID1001 - Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • PUAFER008 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
  • PUAWHS002 - Confine small emergencies in a facility
  • RIIWHS204E - Maintain safety at an incident scene
  • UETDRRF007 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment
  • UETDRRF004 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Participants who successfully complete this training will also be issued with the following Certificates of Completion in accordance with the GWO guidelines:

  • GWO BST First Aid
  • GWO BST Working at Heights
  • GWO BST Fire Awareness
  • GWO BST Manual Handling
