UET30519 Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems - Transmission Overhead

Description

This qualification provides the skill and knowledge to work in the electricity supply industry (ESI) as an as an Overhead Transmission Linesperson. This qualification covers work on transmission overhead powerlines, such as the erection of towers, poles, structures and associated hardware, and the installation and maintenance of conductors and cables. It also includes inspection procedures for overhead structures and electrical apparatus. The skills and knowledge described within the units in this qualification may require a licence or permit to practice in the workplace. Additional and/or other conditions may also apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing the qualification.

Units of Competency

Please note that we do not offer the following core Units related to High Risk Work Licenses.
CPCCLDG3001A - Licence to perform dogging
CPCCLRG3001A - Licence to perform rigging basic level
TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
Training and Assessment for these specific Units can be undertaken at specialist RTOs across all States. Refer to training.gov.au for a list of accredited RTOs for each relevant Unit of Competency.
