National Manager - ESI Programs

Jamie is responsible for the planning and management of training and consulting programs across the Electricity Supply Industry networks including transmission, distribution, cable jointing and rail projects across Australia 

Experience

As a Project manager, he has been responsible for the conception and delivery of transmission and distribution projects for several utility networks across Australia and New Zealand.  These projects include installation of major transmission infrastructure for ElectraNet in South Australia, rebuilding of double circuit 66KV line and 66KV Zone Substation in Portland, Victoria for Pacific Hydro, several major National Broadband Network projects including a pilot program for Aerial Fiber Optic Cable rollout in NSW across the Essential Energy and Endeavour Energy Utility Networks. Jamie has experience in developing structure, delivery strategies, risk management, procurement, estimating, approvals, quality assurance, safety and resource management.

 

Prior to these roles, Jamie commenced his career as a Transmission Linesman eventually completing a dual trade qualification in Distribution Lines which was further complemented with qualifications in Hot Stick Line work on 11kV – 220kV / Bare hand live line work 110kV to 220kV and Glove and Barrier work on 11kV to 33kV systems.  Jamie also worked as an HV backbone distribution operator on metal clad underground and Zone Substations, working his way into a senior staff supervisor role which involved managing large project teams to deliver both capital and maintenance line work programs throughout Australia.
