John Wright – Senior Trainer & Assessor
John has a deep understanding of energy networks and a passion for sharing his knowledge of safe operating and industry best practice in the Power sector. John is also a highly regarded instructor in First Response and Incident management for the South Australian Country Fire Service.
John served over four decades with the Transmission and Distribution network owner in South Australia, ETSA Utilities. Prior to his retirement, he was the Telecommunications Operations Manager for the Telecommunications Asset Manager Demand & Network Management Branch.
Since retirement, John has actively promoted workplace and community safety. He is a member of the SA State Incident Management Team, as a Planning, Resource and Situational Analysis Officer. In this role, John provides mentoring and training in Incident Management scenarios which are nationally accredited. He also lectures in the Australaisan Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS 2017) a Management System for all emergency situations.
John serves on many committees including the ETSA Past Employees Association, and the Sir Thomas Playford Museum. He has received two Ministerial Commendations from the SA Government for his contributions to the SA Country Fire Service in addition to being a life member of the SA Country Fire Service
