TAAM ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access

Description

This course is designed to train individuals who are required to hold a current certificate for the specified work. This course has been tailored based on industry best-practice and to be in accordance with the relevant standards and legislations. The course will be delivered by an experienced industry professional, bringing a depth of knowledge and experience to the learner.

In accordance with the ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM), training is required to access and undertake operations on ElectraNet assets. The TAAM courses are aligned to the Authorisation Levels identified in the Manual. Initial attendees and those who wish to make changes to their current licence, must lodge an application via the ElectraNet portal prior to attending TAAM training.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to ensure all employees, contractors and visitors may access ElectraNet in a manner where there is a reduced risk to workers being exposed to the specific hazards present in an electricity transmission network and communication network and allowing safe access to distinct parts of the network for specific tasks.

Target learner group

Attendees must be an employee of ElectraNet or of an ElectraNet Endorsed Company.

  • Site attendance checklist (applicable for new license holders)

Learners are required to have the following to participate in this course:

  • Stationary (e.g. Pen, Pencil, etc.)
  • Personal Electronic Device to access online course material (e.g Laptop, Tablet)

Assessment approach

Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:

  • Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice)
  • Test/Quiz (e.g. LMS Quiz, Written Quiz)

Course Entry Requirements

To participate in this course, learners are required to hold currency in:

  • as per ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual - Governance, learners must have current certification in the required prerequisites in
    • provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or equivalent, currently HLTAID011)
    • provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001 or equivalent, currently HLTAID009)
  • lodge an application to attend TAAM training via the ElectraNet portal (e.g. including those who wish to amend their current license).
  • Initial attendees and those who wish to make changes to their current license, lodge an application to attend TAAM training via the ElectraNet portal.
  • be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing, and numeracy.
  • be sufficiently fit to participate.
