TAAM ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access


In accordance with the ElectraNet Transmission Asset Access Manual (TAAM), training is required to access and undertake operations on ElectraNet assets. The TAAM courses are aligned to the Authorisation Levels identified in the Manual.
Attendees must lodge an application via the ElectraNet portal on https://www.electranet.com.au/contractors prior to attending TAAM training

Units of Competency

UETTDRFO1B Apply ESI safety rules, code of practice and procedures for work on or near electrical apparatus

Unit Prerequisites

HLTAID003 Provide first aid
HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation 

Training Location

Adelaide International Motel, 521 Anzac Highway Glenelg North or at your Company premises, depending on numbers.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to give the participant knowledge and skills to safely enter and work ElectraNet assets.

Learning activities

Delivery involves classroom Instructor led presentation and group discussion.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Course, a participant will have developed an understanding of Legislation, Regulations & Codes of Practice, the Golden Rules, Safe Approach Limits, Enterprise Procedures, Basic Safety, Transmission Access Principles, Transmission Site Access Procedures, Emergency Access, Substation entry and departure, Easement and Transmission Lines, Defined areas, General Site and Activity Considerations, HV Access Permit Introduction.


One day theory training and assessment.
Please note that an ElectraNet Site Induction will be required after the completion of the course for Initial trainees who do not currently hold a TAAM license.

Attendee Prerequisites

Attendees must:
be an employee of ElectraNet or of an ElectraNet endorsed company; and
lodge an application to attend TAAM training via the ElectraNet portal on https://www.electranet.com.au/contractors 

Assessment approach

A written theory assessment is a requirement of the course. The assessment will contain a combination of critical questions which must gain a 100% pass mark and non-critical questions requiring a minimum of 80%.
